Still wondering? Talk to a safari expert.

How much does a safari in Kenya or Tanzania cost?+

Mid-range private safaris typically cost USD 350–550 per person per day including vehicle, guide, park fees and full-board lodges. Budget camping safaris start around USD 200 per day, and luxury fly-in safaris range from USD 900 to over 2,000 per day. Every price on our site is shown per person sharing, and you can switch to GBP or EUR.

When is the best time to see the Great Migration?+

The river crossings in Kenya's Masai Mara happen from roughly July to October. From December to March the herds calve on the short-grass plains of the southern Serengeti in Tanzania. Wildlife viewing is excellent year-round in most parks.

Can I choose my own hotels and add destinations?+

Yes. Every safari lets you pick budget, mid-range or luxury accommodation at each stop, add extra parks or a beach extension, and add activities like balloon flights or gorilla permits. You can also build a completely tailor-made safari from scratch.

How do I pay, and is it secure?+

Payments are taken securely online through Paystack using Visa or Mastercard. For trips more than 75 days away you can pay a 30% deposit and settle the balance 60 days before travel. Invoices and reminders are emailed to you automatically.

Is it safe to travel to East Africa on safari?+

Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda welcome hundreds of thousands of safari travellers each year. Your guide is with you throughout, all our vehicles carry emergency communication, and every trip includes Flying Doctors evacuation cover.

Do I need a visa?+

UK, EU and US citizens need an eTA for Kenya, and an e-visa for Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda (the East Africa Tourist Visa covers Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda). We'll send you the current requirements with your booking confirmation.
