    Morning departure north from Nairobi past Mount Kenya, crossing the Equator at Nanyuki, then descending into the hot, arid north.

    Afternoon

    Arrive at your lodge for lunch, then an afternoon game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro river.

    Dinner at the lodge.

    Morning game drive to search for the 'Samburu Special Five': reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Beisa oryx, gerenuk and Somali ostrich.

    Afternoon

    Lunch at the lodge, then an afternoon drive along the river, where leopards are frequently seen and elephants come to drink.

    Evening

    Optional visit to a Samburu village, then dinner.
